The maiden edition of the multinational joint military exercise, PRAGATI 2026, has entered an intensive tactical phase at the Umroi Military Station.
Bringing together over 400 personnel from India and 12 friendly partner nations—including Bhutan, Malaysia, and Vietnam—the two-week drill focuses on regional security. Integrated mixed-nation teams are currently undergoing rigorous training in Meghalaya’s challenging, semi-mountainous jungle terrain.
The operations include specialized rock craft, ambush drills, counter-ambush tactics, and sniper firing competitions to drastically enhance international combat interoperability and defense diplomacy.
