Shimla Police have launched a massive traffic management plan to tackle the intense summer tourist rush.
Over 70,000 vehicles passed between Solan and Shimla in just three days, with thousands entering from out of state. Additional personnel, traffic riders, and an interceptor vehicle are now actively monitoring the town.
To prevent gridlock, authorities have divided Shimla into five distinct sectors and are diverting upper-bound tourist vehicles through the Shoghi-Mehli bypass. Commuters are advised to check real-time updates posted regularly on police social media channels.
