The Jammu and Kashmir administration has declared all Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage corridors as “No-Fly Zones” starting July 1, effectively suspending commercial helicopter services for devotees due to heightened security concerns.
The directive aims to prevent unauthorized aerial activities, including drones, enforcing strict round-the-clock monitoring. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to chair a high-level review meeting in New Delhi on June 8. The session will finalize an ironclad security grid, focusing on anti-terror protocols, convoy protection, and inter-agency coordination for the 57-day pilgrimage.
