The Rajasthan government has officially extended the Minimum Support Price (MSP) wheat procurement deadline to June 19. This decision, directed by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, offers significant relief to registered farmers whose produce remained unsold. Additionally, the state has augmented its wheat procurement target for the 2026-27 rabi marketing season from 23.5 lakh metric tonnes to an impressive 28.5 lakh metric tonnes. Currently, farmers are benefiting from a total payment of Rs 2,735 per quintal, which includes a state bonus. This initiative guarantees better agricultural returns.
