Tripura’s rural infrastructure is set for a massive transformation following the Central Government’s approval of a ₹211 crore package under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-IV. Slated for the 2026-27 financial year, this Batch-I initiative will fund 96 distinct road development projects.
Spanning over 160 kilometers, the new network guarantees first-time, all-weather connectivity to 96 remote habitations.By linking isolated villages, the project aims to bridge the rural-urban divide, drastically improving grassroots access to essential healthcare, regional markets, and schools for local communities.
