The resurgence of the monsoon across Jharkhand has brought devastating consequences, with severe lightning strikes claiming the lives of at least seven to ten individuals. Tragically, the fatalities span multiple rural districts, including Palamu, Chatra, Jamtara, and Lohardaga, where field workers were caught off guard by sudden storms.
In response to the spike in weather-related casualties, local district administrations have rapidly deployed safety advisories. Officials are urgently cautioning rural laborers and farmers against the highly dangerous practice of seeking shelter under trees during active thunderstorms to prevent further loss of life.
