The North Eastern Council (NEC) has conducted a pre-investment assessment of coffee-growing clusters in Nagaland under the Mission Coffee initiative. The review aims to evaluate the potential for expanding coffee cultivation, attracting investment, and strengthening the value chain associated with coffee production in the state.
The initiative seeks to improve farmer incomes by promoting high-value agricultural activities and creating new agribusiness opportunities. By supporting coffee cultivation and related industries, the project is expected to boost rural livelihoods, encourage sustainable agricultural development, and enhance Nagaland’s position in the specialty coffee sector.
