The Kerala government has accelerated plans for the South Kerala Critical Mineral Corridor, a major industrial initiative designed to promote mineral-based industries and strengthen the state’s manufacturing ecosystem. The project aims to attract significant domestic and international investments while leveraging Kerala’s strategic resources and industrial potential to drive economic development.
With an estimated investment potential exceeding ₹50,000 crore, the corridor is expected to generate large-scale employment opportunities and boost industrial growth across the region. The initiative also aligns with India’s focus on securing critical minerals essential for emerging technologies, clean energy systems, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
