The Andhra Pradesh government has significantly bolstered its police department’s mobility by approving the procurement of 3,000 new patrol vehicles. This initiative, backed by a ₹300 crore budget allocation announced earlier this year, aims to replace aging fleet assets that have been in service for over a decade.

The new fleet comprising both patrol cars and two-wheelers will be distributed to every police station, circle, and sub-division across the state. This upgrade is designed to enhance emergency response times, strengthen continuous patrolling, and improve the efficiency of specialized units, including those responding to calls from the “Shakti” app and Dial-112.
