A total of 656 rural roads have been completed across Bihar under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The expanded road network is expected to improve connectivity between villages and markets, making the transportation of goods and agricultural produce faster and more efficient.
The improved infrastructure is likely to reduce transportation costs, strengthen trade and supply chains, and support agriculture, small businesses, and rural industries. Enhanced road connectivity is expected to contribute to Bihar’s long-term rural economic development and investment potential.
