Manipur continues to promote employment and entrepreneurship through skill development, startup support, and livelihood enhancement initiatives. The state government, in partnership with central schemes and industry stakeholders, is encouraging self-employment, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and youth-led startups. Training programmes, financial assistance, market access, and digital entrepreneurship are helping create new economic opportunities across urban and rural areas.
Special emphasis has also been placed on women entrepreneurs, traditional handicrafts, handloom, agriculture-based enterprises, and innovation-driven businesses to strengthen sustainable livelihoods and boost the state’s overall economic development.
