Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced that India’s defence production has reached a record ₹1.78 lakh crore. The milestone reflects the continued growth of the country’s defence manufacturing sector under the Make in India initiative.
Gujarat is expected to play a key role in expanding defence manufacturing with its strong industrial base, infrastructure, and investment ecosystem. Increased defence production is likely to attract fresh investments, create employment opportunities, and strengthen the state’s advanced manufacturing capabilities.
