The Government of India has officially launched the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) effective July 1, 2026.
This transformative initiative marks a major economic boost for Jharkhand, with state rural workers set to receive a wage increase ranging between 15% and 25%. By establishing a minimum base wage of at least ₹300 per day, the mission aims to provide robust financial security and improve living standards for the rural workforce. This policy shift underscores a dedicated commitment to fostering inclusive growth and sustainable livelihoods across Jharkhand’s agricultural and rural sectors.
