India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased 13.9% year-on-year to ₹1.94 lakh crore in June, reflecting strong economic activity, improved tax compliance, and healthy business performance across the country. The robust tax revenue growth is expected to strengthen government finances and support increased investment in infrastructure and development projects.

For Nagaland, higher government revenues could contribute to greater spending on roads, connectivity, public infrastructure, healthcare, and rural development. These investments are expected to improve the business environment, encourage private investment, and support the state’s long-term economic growth.
