In a massive crackdown against the narcotics trade, the Kerala Police have marked a historic milestone through “Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt.” Launched on June 2, 2026, the month-long initiative has yielded significant results in curbing the drug menace across the state. By registering 5,353 cases and arresting 5,736 individuals, law enforcement has successfully dismantled key trafficking networks.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a massive cache of narcotics, including MDMA, ganja, and hashish oil, with a total street value exceeding ₹30 crore, reinforcing the state’s commitment to public safety and drug-free communities.
