Jammu & Kashmir continues to advance its agriculture sector in 2026 by promoting high-density plantation schemes, modern farming techniques, and improved crop management practices. The government is supporting farmers through access to quality planting material, efficient irrigation systems, mechanization, and scientific cultivation methods.
Special emphasis is being placed on increasing productivity in fruit orchards, enhancing post-harvest infrastructure, and strengthening market linkages. These initiatives aim to improve farmers’ incomes, encourage sustainable agricultural development, generate rural employment, and reinforce the Union Territory’s position as a leading horticulture and agriculture hub.
