The Arunachal Pradesh-based National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) has etched its name in history by setting a phenomenal mountaineering record. In just twenty-three days, a highly skilled expedition team successfully completed the first ascents of twenty previously unclimbed peaks, all towering above six thousand meters in the rugged terrains of Ladakh.

This remarkable feat marks the third consecutive world record achieved by the premier institute. The incredible achievement not only showcases the exceptional physical endurance and technical prowess of the climbers but also strongly highlights Northeast India’s rapidly growing dominance in the global adventure sports arena.
