The “Sher-e-Punjab” High-Performance Sports Centre was inaugurated in Mohali this morning. This world-class facility is designed to prep athletes for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, focusing specifically on archery, wrestling, and hockey.
Equipped with cryogenic recovery chambers and AI-driven biomechanics labs, the center aims to nurture grassroots talent from rural districts. The Sports Minister stated that the goal is to ensure at least 25% of India’s Olympic contingent hails from Punjab, reviving the state’s legacy as a powerhouse of Indian athletics.
