In a landmark move to bolster state security and preserve indigenous rights, the Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet, led by CM Pema Khandu, has officially approved the ILP Guidelines 2026.
Starting today, the state is transitioning to a high-tech QR-based e-ILP system integrated with Aadhaar verification. This digital overhaul aims to eliminate forged permits and streamline entry at check gates.
Authorities have also introduced stricter penalties, including a potential two-year entry ban for repeat overstay offenders, ensuring a more transparent and regulated influx into the Land of the Rising Sun.
