Agriculture Update | Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha today unveiled a robust roadmap to transform Bihar into an organic farming hub.
The state has sanctioned a 50% subsidy for establishing 100 new biogas units and plans to set up 7,500 vermicompost units this fiscal year. To combat the soil degradation caused by erratic winters and heatwaves, the government is offering ₹4,000 per acre to farmers adopting natural techniques.
The initiative specifically targets tech-savvy youth to modernize Bihar’s traditional “Kheti” with sustainable, chemical-free innovation.
