Meghalaya continues to strengthen women’s empowerment through initiatives focused on education, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, healthcare, and livelihood generation.The state is supporting women-led self-help groups (SHGs), promoting skill development, and encouraging women entrepreneurs through access to credit and market opportunities.
Efforts are also being made to improve maternal healthcare, enhance girls’ education, and increase women’s participation in local governance and community development.These initiatives aim to promote gender equality, economic independence, and inclusive growth while improving the overall well-being of women across Meghalaya.
