The Guwahati Police launched a swift crackdown in the city’s bustling Ganeshguri area following a violent altercation. A group of individuals forcefully obstructed and physically assaulted on-duty police personnel during a targeted anti-social activity drive, injuring four officers, including two women constables.
Demonstrating a strict zero-tolerance policy against public lawlessness, the police apprehended ten suspects—consisting of five men and five women—within 24 hours of the incident. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) as authorities intensify investigations to maintain strict public order.
