The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by scattered rainfall across several districts of Uttar Pradesh. While a few regions continue to experience heatwave conditions, increasing cloud cover and pre-monsoon showers are expected to provide gradual relief. The weather department has advised residents to remain alert for lightning, gusty winds, and localized heavy rainfall.
According to the IMD, monsoon activity is expected to strengthen over Uttar Pradesh from 29 June, leading to more widespread rainfall across the state. The anticipated rains are likely to improve soil moisture, support agricultural activities, and reduce daytime temperatures. Authorities have urged people to follow official weather advisories and take necessary precautions during thunderstorms and heavy rain.
