The Southwest Monsoon has officially intensified across Rajasthan, bringing a much-needed respite from the scorching summer heatwave.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued urgent weather alerts for more than 20 districts, including major hubs like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Dausa, and Tonk. Residents should prepare for light to moderate rainfall, sudden thunderstorms, and high-velocity winds reaching speeds of 50–60 km/h. Notably, Sardarshahar in Churu recorded the state’s highest localized downpour at 56 mm. This widespread monsoon arrival has successfully triggered a significant drop in temperatures across the state.
