In a massive leap toward sustainable transportation, India’s first-ever hydrogen-powered train successfully completed its final high-speed trial run on the Jind-Sonipat section of Northern Railway.
Reaching a top speed of 120 kmph, this milestone marks a pivotal moment for Indian Railways as it aggressively transitions toward zero-emission, eco-friendly transit networks. Powered entirely by clean hydrogen fuel cells, the train emits only water vapor and warm air, showcasing cutting-edge green technology. This successful trial sets the stage for a revolution in the country’s public transport infrastructure, drastically reducing its carbon footprint.
