The National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) has announced plans to establish India’s first hybrid floating renewable energy platform off the Goa coast. The innovative project will integrate solar and wind power generation to produce clean energy while supporting advanced marine research and offshore technology development.
The initiative is expected to promote sustainable energy production, attract investments in renewable energy and marine engineering, and strengthen India’s blue economy.
