In a critical move to ensure public safety during the turbulent monsoon season, the District Magistrate has issued strict prohibitory orders across South Goa and the Kushavati region.
The new directive strictly bans swimming, wading, and any recreational activities in natural water bodies, including rivers, waterfalls, and lakes. Triggered by rising water levels and unpredictable currents, these measures aim to prevent hazardous accidents. Locals and tourists alike are urged to respect the restrictions and avoid these spots entirely, prioritizing personal safety while enjoying Goa’s scenic rainy season from a safe distance.
