Haryana and Rajasthan have signed an agreement to implement the long-pending Yamuna Water Project. The ₹34,102-crore infrastructure initiative aims to strengthen water resource management, improve irrigation systems, and ensure better water availability for agricultural and developmental needs across both states.
The project is expected to support agriculture, enhance water security, and drive long-term economic development in Haryana and Rajasthan. Improved irrigation infrastructure and efficient water distribution are likely to boost farm productivity, encourage investments, and strengthen regional economic growth.
