Cities such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, and Tirunelveli are witnessing improvements in public transport, intelligent traffic systems, water supply, sanitation, waste management, and digital civic services. The state is also promoting affordable housing, green public spaces, climate-resilient infrastructure, and energy-efficient urban planning.
