Retired WB police officers have become cyber crime fighters for society. They conduct awareness rallies in villages about online fraud, OTP scams, and digital arrest threats.
Senior citizens get training on UPI and mobile banking safety. Over 500 people were helped to file cyber complaints online. Schools and colleges run “Safe Digital Bengal” programs under their guidance. They volunteer with police cyber cell to support victims. “Scams are new, but our alertness remains same,” they say. Retired cops are now the digital safety shield for Bengal.
