The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy 2026, marking a significant step toward attracting private investment and accelerating infrastructure development across the state. The policy is aimed at creating a more structured and transparent framework for implementing major projects through collaboration between the government and private companies.

The new policy is expected to support projects in sectors such as roads, transport, urban infrastructure, tourism, energy and other public services. By encouraging private participation, the government hopes to improve project execution, mobilise additional investment and reduce pressure on public finances.

The PPP framework could also create employment opportunities and strengthen infrastructure in both urban and developing regions of Andhra Pradesh. Officials expect the policy to improve investor confidence by providing clearer procedures and greater institutional support.

The move comes as Andhra Pradesh seeks to position itself as an attractive destination for infrastructure and industrial investment, while improving public services and supporting long-term economic growth.
