Shri TSG Bhasker, Campaign Committee Chairman for the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee, has strongly condemned the Draft Tribal Council Election Rules 2026. Speaking at a recent press briefing, Bhasker raised serious concerns regarding the newly proposed provisions and demanded the immediate withdrawal of the draft.
Beyond the election dispute, the Congress leader used the platform to highlight critical administrative failures across the archipelago, pointing out severe, unaddressed gaps in local healthcare services and infrastructure development that continue to impact islanders’ daily lives.
