Maharashtra continues to strengthen women and child welfare through initiatives focused on health, nutrition, education, safety, and economic empowerment. Government programs are expanding maternal and child healthcare services, improving access to nutritional support, and promoting girls’ education through scholarships and awareness campaigns. Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and skill development schemes are enabling women to achieve financial independence and entrepreneurship.
Efforts to enhance child protection services, women’s safety measures, and digital access to welfare benefits are contributing to inclusive social development and improving the quality of life for families across urban and rural Maharashtra.
