In a historic energy milestone, Telangana received its first consignment of coal from the Naini coal block in Odisha, marking the maiden inter-state coal movement for Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). The inaugural rail rake, loaded with approximately 4,000 tonnes of high-grade G-10 coal in 59 wagons, traveled 1,131 kilometers to reach the Singareni Thermal Power Plant in Mancherial district.
With estimated reserves of 340 million tonnes, the Naini mine will ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply, significantly boosting Telangana’s long-term power generation capacity and securing a resilient energy future for coming generations across the state
