Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan has been called up to the Indian Test squad as a replacement for Sai Sudharsan ahead of the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Sudharsan was ruled out after failing to fully recover from a right toe injury sustained during the recent India A tour. Meanwhile, India completed their warm-up preparations on a high note, with skipper Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal laying a strong foundation during a 105-run opening stand against Sri Lanka Cricket XI. The first Test begins on August 15 in Galle.
