In a major administrative overhaul, the Tripura Cabinet announced that all state government offices will transition to a five-day workweek with immediate effect.
To compensate for the newly instated Saturday and Sunday closures, daily office hours have been extended from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, the government completely scrapped the roster-based work-from-home system for Group-C and Group-D employees.
The state has also mandated that 75% of government meetings be held virtually as part of a strategic austerity drive.
