Andhra Pradesh continues to strengthen its fisheries sector and blue economy through investments in aquaculture, marine infrastructure, seafood processing, and export-oriented initiatives. As one of India’s leading producers of fish and shrimp, the state is expanding fishing harbours, cold-chain facilities, hatcheries, and value-addition units to improve productivity and market access.
The government is also promoting sustainable fishing practices, coastal resource management, and fisher welfare programs. These initiatives aim to enhance livelihoods, increase seafood exports, attract private investment, and support long-term economic growth across Andhra Pradesh’s coastal regions.
