Karnataka is accelerating the growth of its food processing and agro-based industries by promoting value addition, modern processing infrastructure, and investment across the agricultural supply chain. The state is supporting food parks, cold storage facilities, warehousing, and agro-processing clusters to reduce post-harvest losses and improve farmers’ incomes.
Policies encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), food exports, and technology adoption are strengthening the sector’s competitiveness. These initiatives are generating rural employment, enhancing market access for agricultural produce, and reinforcing Karnataka’s role as a major contributor to India’s food processing industry.
