The Election Commission of India has officially launched the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across Karnataka. This initiative aims to clean up and update the state’s voter list through a thorough month-long, door-to-door verification drive.

Spearheaded by over 59,000 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), this massive house-to-house enumeration process will cover more than 5.54 crore eligible voters throughout the state. The drive was formally launched by Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who urged all citizens to actively participate and ensure their voter details are accurate and verified.
