Ladakh continues to advance environment and climate conservation through glacier monitoring, biodiversity protection, and sustainable natural resource management. The Union Territory is implementing measures to conserve fragile high-altitude ecosystems, protect wildlife such as the snow leopard and black-necked crane, and promote afforestation where ecologically suitable.
Authorities are also encouraging water conservation, climate-resilient development, and community participation in environmental protection. These initiatives aim to safeguard Ladakh’s unique Himalayan landscape, strengthen resilience to climate change, preserve ecological balance, and support sustainable development for future generations.
