Ladakh continues to emerge as a key hub for renewable energy with the expansion of large-scale solar power projects and clean energy infrastructure. The Union Territory is leveraging its high solar radiation and vast open landscapes to promote sustainable electricity generation, energy storage, and green hydrogen initiatives.
Authorities are also encouraging energy-efficient technologies and improving power access in remote areas through decentralized renewable solutions. These efforts aim to reduce dependence on conventional fuels, strengthen energy security, create green employment opportunities, and contribute to India’s long-term clean energy and climate objectives.
