“₹1 Lakh Surety; Court Bars Witness Influence”
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has granted conditional bail to Bandi Bhagirath, an accused in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The Court granted bail upon the execution of a ₹1 lakh surety bond, along with the required sureties, subject to specific conditions.
As part of the bail order, the High Court directed the accused not to influence, threaten, or intimidate any witnesses connected with the case. The Court also instructed him to fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation and comply with all legal requirements.
The Court observed that the accused must strictly adhere to the conditions imposed while the case remains under trial. It further made it clear that any violation of the bail conditions may result in cancellation of the bail, in accordance with law.
The criminal proceedings in the case will continue before the competent court, where the allegations will be examined and decided based on the evidence placed on record.
