Medchal-Malkajgiri, August 13:
Patriotic fervour ran high in Alwal on Thursday as the BJP organised a Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra as part of the Independence Day celebrations, responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to display the National Flag at homes across the country.

Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender joined the procession and walked with the National Flag, along with party leaders, workers and residents. The yatra commenced from Alwal Meeseva Junction and culminated at IG Circle.

The procession witnessed participation from women, senior citizens, youth and local residents. Holding the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans, participants marched through the area in a spirited display of national pride.

BJP State Executive Member Chintala Manikya Reddy said the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence should remain an inspiration for future generations. He said Independence Day should be seen not merely as a ceremonial occasion but as an opportunity to reinforce patriotism, national unity and a sense of responsibility among citizens.

He appealed to people to hoist the Tricolour at every home on August 15, in line with the Prime Minister’s call. He also urged youth and students to uphold the values of patriotism and contribute to strengthening the unity and integrity of the nation.

The programme was attended by BJP State Executive Member Chintala Manikya Reddy and other leaders, including Parankusham Madhav, Srinivas Varma, Ajay Reddy, Mallikarjun Karthik Goud, Sridhar Reddy, Gopi, Thoopran Lakshman, Bobby Adhikari, Bhoga Vishnumurthy, Rajireddy, Murali, Rammohan Goud, Moyi Sujatha, Karuna Sri, Padmini, Devi and Usha, besides several party leaders and workers.
