Meghalaya
Meghalaya Police is the law enforcement agency of the state of Meghalaya in northeast India. It was formed in 1864 and is responsible for maintaining law and order in the state.
The Meghalaya Police is headed by the Director General of Police and has several branches including Crime Branch, Armed Branch, Traffic Branch and Special Branch. The force has a strength of over 12,000 personnel and is known for its professionalism and high standards of discipline.
The Meghalaya Police also engages in community policing initiatives to build trust and cooperation with the public.
