Ladakh has achieved a historic milestone in sports infrastructure with the grand inauguration of India’s highest Astro Turf Football Ground.
Situated at a breathtaking altitude of 11,500 feet in Leh, the state-of-the-art facility features an 8-lane synthetic athletic track and a newly built VIP stand. Developed at a cost of over ₹30 crore under the “Khelo India” initiative, the world-class stadium aims to nurture local talent for national competitions.
Experts believe the challenging high-altitude terrain will also attract professional athletes for rigorous endurance and stamina training.
