In a major boost for eco-tourism and wildlife preservation, the Ladakh administration has announced a specialized nature guide and birding interpreter training program. Designed specifically for unemployed youth living in Changthang’s remote border villages, this initiative is tied directly to the region’s upcoming avian conservation strategies.
By transforming local enthusiasts into certified field experts, the program aims to establish sustainable, conservation-linked economic loops. Participants will learn to lead specialized birding expeditions, allowing remote communities to directly benefit financially from protecting the delicate high-altitude ecosystem and its rare migratory species.
